Highland Capital Management, L.P. was co-founded by James Dondero, who is now serving as president of this Dallas management firm, in which recently teamed up with Linda Owen who serves as a civic leader. Their goal was to provide calculated direction in the expansion of the firms charitable giving program.
Owen will take her role as the manager of the firm’s charitable giving of which the Dallas Foundation contributes to help serve veterans’ causes, health care and education.
Some of the beneficiaries who are local are the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, the Center for Brain Health, Snowball Express, the American Heart Association, Uplift Education and George W. Bush Presidential Library. Providing guidance and support, James Dondero and other Highland executives contribute with service on the board and roles in leadership.
It is the unrelenting support of Highlands employees who give their time and energy to discover creative solutions for nonprofits who are looking for new ways to support these causes. Owen comments that she feels this in a great opportunity to work with a firm who dedication is unmatched, and a privilege to direct this into considerate and thoughtful directions.
It’s the strategic leadership of the founders Jim Dondero and Mark Okada who continue to lead the firm at this time. Dondero uses his 30 years of experience with the markets of credit and equity to move his company forward. For more information visit.
